Anapauo is the Greek word for ‘rest’ found in Matthew 11:28 . It is the name we have given to a contemplative hour of prayer based around the spiritual discipline of Lectio Divina. It is not a Bible study and so there is no need to bring your Bible. We listen to a Bible reading being read out and reflect quietly and prayerfully on what God may be saying to us in that reading. Opportunity is given for people to share with the group what God has been saying to them. This is followed by a time where we are invited to make our own silent prayerful response to God. The hour finishes with a period of silent contemplation where we just rest quietly in the presence of God.
Anapauo is held in the fellowship room of the church at:
3 - 4 pm on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month
An invitation to slow down and spend time with God.
